ASUU: EARNED ALLOWANCES, GOVERNING COUNCILS TO TAKE OVER BY 2024 AS FG IS TO RELEASE N50BN

 


50 BILLION FOR OUTSTANDING EARNED ALLOWANCES, N170 BILLION FOR SALARY INCREMENTS AND N300 BILLION FOR REVITALIZATION 

According to Punch Newspaper report, the Federal Government is will release 50 Billion Naira for the outstanding earned allowances of university staff, while the university governing councils will takeover the payment of earned allowances of their various universities by 2024.

It also reported that N170 Billion was fixed for salary enhancement while the sum of N300 Billion will be the revitalization funds for the Universities. These two if summed together will total the N470 Billion captured in the budget presented by the president last week.
