BE GOOD TO PEOPLE, IT MIGHT BE YOUR VERY LAST CONTRIBUTION THAT WOULD NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

It was 12days to Gina's EDD, EDD means the estimated due date when spontaneous labor is expected to occur and by this time, my faith had started to fail.

I made calls, sent messages to people I was certain I could get help from.

(3) of them were my church members. One asked me to meet him at home in area 1 of Abuja the following day which I did.

Got there at 7am on his request and it took him two hours to come down.

When he finally came down, we were like four waiting for him and I felt he was going to call me aside and talk to me.

Yes BT...he called me while coming down the staircase. So you mean you and your wife are currently living in an uncompleted building?

I felt like the ground should open and swallow me. The people who knew nothing about what brought me now suddenly knew I came to beg.

I'm sorry I just paid for a property worth over 90million naira but let's see if anything comes in, I will call you. He went straight to his dinning.

Why ask me to come to your house if the only thing you had in mind to offer me was to humiliate me before people? I was wondering in my heart.

couldn't hold back the tears.

You don't know what God has done for you if you can afford your bills without talking to anyone.

It took courage for me to go to church with my wife because the people whom I taught could stand with me had suddenly started gossiping my situation.

The news had gone round.

The other one brought clothes for me in church to dryclean. If I was aware he was bringing clothes, I could have taken a bag to put them.

He waited for church to close then stood in front of a crowd outside the church, opened his boot then called me... Thomas, come and pack these clothes. I need them on Tuesday, make sure you don't burn any of my shirts, they are very expensive.

I carried a pile of dirty clothes in my hands, looking for where I could get a bag to put them. See how everyone was looking at me.

Life has taught me that you might find real brethren amongst unbelievers to confide in and not be ashamed than amongst church folks.

9years later, the one who humiliated me in his house in front of people called me to ask if my organization can give him a loan because the wife had a CS and he was under a lot of financial pressure at the time.

I told him the foundation doesn't  have money, nonetheless, how much are you looking for Sir and he said 300,000naira. I told him I was driving to the hospital to see him.

Luckily I had the money at that time because I just finished doing a job for an organization and really needed to use that money for something but I needed to show I never held onto the past.

God will always give you an opportunity to also see how you will handle things before those who treated you unkindly.

I passed through the bank, withdrew the money and while I was with him besides the wife's bed, I handed him the cash and told him it's not a loan.

The wife couldn't look at me, she faced the wall.

She was in the house that morning, the day her husband humiliated me.

She felt very bad, while I was leaving their house. She gave their gate man 1000naira to run after me, and give me for transport.

Some will argue that why didn't she help me herself, the truth is some rich men's wife's are are suffering.

The only reason I went there was because I remembered that 1000naira.

I'm not ashamed to tell my stories because that's the only way I also humiliate the devil for all the humiliation he put me through.

Never trust in those papers you have in the bank called money, they also can fail you anytime.

The greatest investment you can make and have 100% guarantee in your return of investment is investing in humanity. It might not come from the people you helped.

Proverbs 19:17

Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

Some of you are doing well today not because you work so hard, it could be God remembering what your parents did for other people.
