INEC postpones governorship, state assembly elections to March 18 Emerging reports indicate that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections to March 18, 2023. INEC’s decision is coming a few days before the March 11 date which was earlier scheduled for the state elections. A top INEC official who made the disclosure known to our correspondent in Abuja today revelaed that the postponement was due to the inability of the commission to commence the re-configuration of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines used for the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections, to enable their use for the state elections.   Nollywood Not Safe For Young Girls, Says Regina Daniels Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has said that the movie industry is not a place for young girls and urge producers to discourage the act of employing minors. Daniels, who also doubles as a film producer, gave the advice on her Instagram page on Monday where she advised celebrities, and movie producers, to say no to child labour and keep the industry secure.  She said, "I met a 14-year-old girl wearing a short skirt, crop top and working under another young guy on the movie set who claims to be a make-up artist.  Her parents are far away in Port Harcourt and she came to Lagos last year.
